Cured Mackerel
Squid strip/Cut Anchovy
Comments: Water clear to 2'. Spoke with Ruben "Halibut King" Valdez - he caught a 28" halibut last week at the foot of the pier using swimbait. He also caught a pair of 23 inchers and a number of shorts. Reports of many other halibut caught primarily in the early AM. Water temperature dropped this week down to 57 degrees after being around 65 degrees for past several weeks. Helped net a 19" White Sea Bass caught mid-pier on the East side using a live anchovy dropped into a floating kelp paddy. Reports of several others in that size range caught this past week. Also a report by Andy J. of small 'baby' squid being caught from the pier -  makes excellent WSB bait.
